Update 5/23/21
John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist movement, summarized God’s directives in what he called “Three Simple Rules.” If we live lives that “Do No Harm, Do Good, and Stay in Love with God" Wesley felt we will be following God's plan for our lives.
Prayerfully we keep these directives in mind as we continue to navigate the impact of COVID. Due to the effectiveness of the vaccines for COVID, wearing masks and social distancing will be optional for all fully vaccinated individuals attending worship or participating in any indoor gatherings at Commerce FUMC.
This decision reflects recently revised CDC guidelines that Americans who are fully vaccinated may stop wearing masks or maintaining social distance in most indoor and outdoor settings.
